Initially Anjali was shortlisted for a role in a Bollywood film by casting director Mukesh Chhabra. However she did not get the role. One of the senior casting crew member told her - her audition was amazing and something good will come out of it. A year later she got a call from the casting director about her selection in the role of 'Jyoti Mehta'.

She said that she had very little knowledge about the scam 1992 before the shooting,as she was born in 90's. She asked her father who is a banker, and got information from him. 

Anjali's thoughts about acting

Acting was something Anjali always wanted to do as a profession. When asked about being on the set, she said, " It feels amazing to be on a set, it's such a surreal feeling, the whole crew and cast are performing and contributing to a scene. It feels overwhelmed. Hearing role,camera,action is a different feeling"
